Resumo: The structured cabling system (SCE) aims to standardize and unify voice, data, image, building automation, and electronic security installations in a building. The aim of this work was to propose a model for the design of SCE in commercial buildings in the light of current national technical standards. Research was carried out in the scientific bases Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar with the purpose of knowing the best practices and guidelines related to the theme. We built a model proposal for the design of an SCE in commercial buildings, applied to the environment of a teaching laboratory. We generated a list of materials, the ground floor rack face plan, with the help of the Lucidchart platform, and the building's vertical scheme, using AutoCAD Electrical 2016 software. The design model obtained proved to be relevant due to the possibility of applying it with ease in several scenarios involving SCE in commercial buildings, aiming at the economy and flexibility of the system.

El objetivo de este trabajo fue proponer un modelo para el diseño de SCE en edificios comerciales a la luz de las normas técnicas nacionales vigentes. Se realizó una investigación en las bases científicas Scopus, Web of Science y Google Académico con el propósito de conocer las mejores prácticas y lineamientos relacionados con el tema. Se construyó una propuesta modelo para el dimensionamiento de un SCE en edificios comerciales, aplicado al entorno de un laboratorio docente. Con la ayuda de la plataforma Lucidchart y el esquema vertical del edificio, se generó una lista de materiales, el plano de la fachada del rack de la planta baja, utilizando el software AutoCAD Electrical 2016. El modelo de dimensionamiento obtenido demostró ser relevante debido a la posibilidad de aplicarlo con facilidad en varios escenarios involucrando SCE en edificios comerciales, buscando la economía y flexibilidad del sistema.O sistema de cabeamento estruturado (SCE) tem como finalidade padronizar e unificar as instalações de voz, dados, imagem, automação predial e segurança eletrônica em uma edificação. Objetivou-se nesse trabalho propor um modelo para o dimensionamento de SCE em edifícios comerciais à luz das normas técnicas nacionais vigentes. Foram realizadas pesquisas nas bases científicas Scopus, Web of Science e Google Acadêmico com o propósito de conhecer as melhores práticas e diretrizes relacionadas à temática. Construiu-se uma proposta de modelo para o dimensionamento de um SCE em edifícios comerciais, aplicado ao ambiente de um laboratório de ensino. Foi gerada uma relação de materiais, o plano de face do rack do pavimento térreo, com o auxílio da plataforma Lucidchart e o esquema vertical do edifício, utilizando o software AutoCAD Electrical 2016.
