Palliative Care for the Patient with Neoplastic Wound: an Integrative Literature Review

Resumo: Introduction: The practice based on evidences is an approach that establishes the use of research results in clinical practice, being the integrative review one of its instruments. Objective: To synthetize the contributions of studies that point out the evidences of nursing actions for patients with neoplastic wound under palliative care. Method: The study was guided by the method of integrative review. To select the articles, two databases were used: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and Scientific Electronic Library Online. Results: In accordance with the pre-established inclusion criteria, a sample of seven articles was obtained. After analyzing the articles included in the review, the results showed that among nursing actions directed to patients with neoplastic wounds under palliative care, symptoms relief, comfort and wellness promotion, physical, psychological, social and spiritual improvement stood out. Conclusion: In the context of palliative care, nursing should provide a singular and humanized care to oncology patients, in order to minimize discomfort and various problems generated by the oncological disease, promoting an improvement of the quality of life of these patients.

Objetivo: Sintetizar las contribuciones de estudios que demuestren evidencias de acciones de enfermería hacia pacientes con heridas neoplásicas bajo cuidados paliativos. Método: El estudio fue orientado por la metodología de revisión integradora. Para la selección de los artículos se utilizó dos bases de datos: Literatura Latino Americana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud y Scientific Eletronic Libray Online. Resultados: Según los criterios de inclusión pre establecidos fue obtenida una muestra de siete artículos. Después del análisis del material obtenido, los resultados de los estudios demostraron que entre las acciones de enfermería dirigidas a los pacientes con herida neoplásica bajo cuidados paliativos se destacan el alivio de los síntomas, la promoción del confort y de bienestar, la mejoría de los aspectos físicos, psicológicos, sociales y espirituales. Conclusión: En el contexto de los cuidados paliativos, la enfermería debe proporcionar una asistencia humanizada y singular con el intuito de disminuir las molestias y problemas diversos generados por la enfermedad oncológica, promocionando la mejoría de la calidad de vida de estos pacientes.Introdução: A prática baseada em evidências é uma abordagem que preconiza a utilização de resultados de pesquisas na área clínica, e a revisão integrativa é um de seus instrumentos. Objetivo: Sintetizar as contribuições de estudos que apontem evidências de ações de enfermagem para pacientes com ferida neoplásica sob cuidados paliativos. Método: O estudo foi norteado pelo método da revisão integrativa. Para selecionar os artigos, foram utilizadas duas bases de dados: Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e Scientific Eletronic LibrayOnlin. Resultados: Conforme os critérios de inclusão pré-estabelecidos, foi obtida uma amostra de sete artigos. Após a análise do material obtido, os resultados apontaram que, entre as ações de enfermagem direcionadas à pacientes com ferida neoplásica sob cuidados paliativos, destacam-se o alívio dos sintomas, a promoção de conforto e de bem-estar e a melhoria dos aspectos físicos, psicológicos, sociais e espirituais.
