Resumo: The essay titled “Challenges of Transformative Pastoral Care Based on Benincá Praxis in the Neoliberal Context” presents, at the outset, aspects that corroborate to understand the current reality. The text reflects on the concept of neoliberalism, pointing out criticisms of the new model  that affects social relations, pointing out to the subjects a new way of action that appears in the mercantile and competitive logic. To walk a path of liberation, against neoliberal reason, that is favorable and of changes, it is committed to a transformative pastoral from the practice of Benincá which contributes greatly to the construction of the collective, awareness of a humanizing transformation and solidary practices with a view of promoting the common good.

O texto reflete sobre o conceito de neoliberalismo, apontando críticas ao novo modelo que afeta as relações sociais, imputando sobre os sujeitos, uma nova forma de agir, que se configura na lógica mercantil e concorrencial.
