Resumo: | This study evaluated, in vivo, the accuracy of mettalic (Smart) and plastic (Triple Tray) dual-arch trays employed with vinyl polyxiloxane (Flexitime), in the putty/wash consistency, as well as polyether (Impregum Soft), in the regular consistency. In one patient, a transferent was parafusado on implant in the mandibular right first molar. The tranferent served as a master model. Ten impression with each tray and impression material were made. The impressions were cast in type IV die stone after 1 hour. The width and height of the master model and gypsum models were measured in a perfil projector (Nikon). The results were submitted to Student’s t-test for one sample (α=0. 05). For the width distance, the plastic dual-arch trays with vunyl polyxiloxane (4. 513 mm) and with polyether (4. 531 mm), and metallic dual-arch tray with polyether (4. 500 mm) were statistically greater than the master model (4. 489 mm). The metallic dual-arch tray with vinyl polyxiloxane (4,504 mm) did not differed statistically from the master model. For the height distance, only the metallic dual-arch tray with polyether (2. 253 mm) differed statistically from the master model (2. 310 mm). The dual-arch metallic tray with vinyl polyxiloxane reproduced models with less distortion. |

The dual-arch metallic tray with vinyl polyxiloxane reproduced models with less distortion.Este estudo avaliou, in vivo, a fidelidade de reprodução das moldeiras de dupla arcada metálica (Smart) e plástica (Triple Tray) com os materiais de impressão silicone por adição (Flexitime), nas consistências massa e leve, e o poliéter (Impregum Soft) na consistência regular. Em um paciente com implante na região do dente 46 foi parafusado um transferente modificado, servindo este de padrão. Foram realizadas dez impressões com cada associação moldeira / material. Os moldes foram vazados com gesso tipo IV após 1 hora. As medidas de largura e altura foram realizadas no padrão e nos modelos, em um projetor de perfil (Nikon). Os resultados foram analisados pelo teste t-student para uma amostra (α=0,05). Para a medida da largura, as moldeiras plásticas com silicone por adição (4,513 mm) e com poliéter (4,531 mm), e a moldeira metálica com poliéter (4,500 mm) foram estatisticamente superiores ao padrão (4,489 mm), sendo que a moldeira metálica com silicone por adição (4,504 mm) não diferiu estatisticamente do padrão. Para a altura, somente a moldeira metálica com poliéter (2,253 mm) diferiu estatisticamente do modelo mestre (2,310 mm).
