Resumo: | This work evaluated the laser (AsGaAl) laser effect by torque removal method, in different healing periods, of smooth and texturized standard model implants, installed in male New Zealand rabbit tibiae, submitted or not to low intensity laser irradiation. For the study, 16 animals, weighing between 3. 5 to 4. 0 kg, with two implants in each tibia, divided in four groups (control and laser for 16 and 30 days of healing) have been used. The laser (AsGaAl) was irradiated with a wave length of 830 nm, continuous mode and power of 100 mW, and the punctual application was 1 J/cm2 in three points and eight applications, with 48 hours intervals, started immediately after the implant installation surgery, in a total of 24 J/cm2. After the healing period, the animals were sacrificed and the tibiae were removed for the implant torque removal measurements with a manual digital torquemeter. The torque removal results for the control groups were: smooth implants, 16 days, 20. 42±3. 06Ncm, and 30 days 27. 42±19. 65Ncm; texturized implants, 16 days, 22. 67±11. 07Ncm, and 30 days 30. 46±16. 06Ncm. for the laser groups, the results were, smooth implants, 16 days, 19. 15±4. 65Ncm, and 30 days, 30. 08±4. 14Ncm; texturized implants, 16 days, 20. 48±6. 72Ncm, and 30 days, 23. 45±10. 40Ncm. The Factorial Analysis of Variance showed that there is a significant difference for this research results if only the time factor is analyzed and it has been observed that, on the 30 days period, the torque removal values are higher than those for the 16 days period. |

Para o estudo foram utilizados 16 animais, pesando entre 3,5 a 4,0 quilos, sendo inseridos dois implantes em cada tíbia, divididos em quatro grupos (controle e laser para 16 e 30 dias de cicatrização). O laser (AsGaAl) foi aplicado com comprimento de onda de 830nm, modo contínuo e potência de 100mW, sendo a aplicação pontual de 1J/cm² em três pontos e oito aplicações, com intervalo de 48 horas, iniciada imediatamente após a cirurgia de colocação dos implantes, perfazendo um total de 24J/cm². Após o período de cicatrização, os animais foram mortos, então, realizada a remoção das tíbias e, em seguida, a medição dos torques para remoção dos implantes com torquímetro elétrico digital de empunhadura manual. Os resultados de torque de remoção obtidos para os grupos controle: Implantes lisos com 16 dias (20,42±3,06Ncm) e 30 dias (27,42±19,65Ncm); implantes texturizados com 16 dias (22,67±11,07Ncm) e 30 dias (30,46±16,06Ncm). Para os grupos laser: Implantes lisos com 16 dias (19,15±4,65Ncm) e 30 dias (30,08±4,14Ncm); implantes texturizados com 16 dias (20,48±6,72Ncm) e 30 dias (23,45±10,40Ncm). A partir dos resultados da Análise de Variância Fatorial, verificou-se que existe diferença significativa para os resultados desta pesquisa sob analise do fator isolado “tempo”, onde observou-se que, no período de 30 dias, os valores do torque de remoção são superiores ao periodo de 16 dias.Made available in DSpace on 2011-12-27T14:14:09Z (GMT).
