SOME NOTES ON THE PHILOSOPHICAL HERMENEUTICS OF HANS-GEORG GADAMER

This article deals with the way in which the hermeneutic German philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer, in his theoretical construct, conceived and discussed the theme of truth. For that, we will try to make a brief itinerary between the gadamerian elucubrations around the subject that is not presented clearly and objectively, which apparently is the result of the philosopher's own psychology, which has always been willing to dialogue, not determining in a final way the concepts and themes on which it has addressed. Thus, it will seek to clarify Gadamer's critique of modernity, which will be followed by a brief presentation of the traditional philosophical understanding of hermeneutics, presenting some authors linked to its development, which influenced or suffered the influence of Gadamer, as is the case with Schleiermacher, Dilthey and Heidegger. Then, after such a presentation, we will deal with the manner in which the hermeneutics was understood by Gadamer and the way in which he understood the truth, inserted in history, as a constant manifestation.
