Resumo: The paper investigates the connections between philosophy and communication, exploring the philosopher Alain Badiou’s point of view. First of all, an analysis of these connections in Antiquity is developed, understanding philosophy in its beginnings as a discursive regime change, dialectic overcoming rhetoric and poetry. Then, taking Badiou as theoretical reference, contemporary context is considered. This context is comprehended as being paradoxically close to the greek one, both dealing with an interruption of poetic discourse.

Inicialmente, propõe-se uma análise dessa relação na Antiguidade, do surgimento da filosofia interpretado como uma alteração de regimes discursivos, em que a dialética se superpõe à retórica e à poesia. Passa-se, então, a uma consideração da situação contemporânea, a partir das propostas de Badiou.
