This work intends to analyze and highlight the role of the Holy Spirit in the development of the rite of the Eucharistic celebration, as established after the Second Vatican Council. The present work is divided into three parts, in which the historical assumptions about the Spirit are presented; an analysis of the rite of the celebration of the Eucharist from a pneumatological perspective and, finally, a presentation of the consequence of the relationship between celebration and Spirit. We can see without much effort that in our time, among the faithful, we do not find a clear understanding of who the Spirit is and how he acts, even less in the liturgical perspective, often leading them to a misunderstanding of the third person of the Trinity, confusing their action in the liturgy to so-called “pneumatological shows”, imbued with great emotional manifestations, but which have nothing to do with what the Church believes. If this is not enough, misunderstandings often extend to the understanding of the action of the Spirit, which is sometimes understood from the perspective of manifestations that occurred in meetings of Catholic movements, manifestations that are not always clear and commonly alien to the faith we profess. In this way, it becomes unique to understand who the Spirit is and how he acts, starting from the liturgy, space and moment where the authentic faith of the Church is celebrated and professed, the liturgical celebration being the safe moment for this and particularly in the celebration of the Eucharist., the climax of the celebration of the Christian mystery
