Resumo: From the concepts about the linguistic translation and the Semiotics, the theory about the Intersemiotic Translation brings us elements to reflect or develop translations among artwork of different artistic languages. This theory is aligned with the contemporary art conceptions that produce with critical actions. The Intersemiotic Translation contributes to modernize the original work of art in the present context. This monograph analyses the relation between original works and creations made based on them, done in different artistic languages: the book Grande Sertão Veredas, by Guimarães Rosa, and the photographic work A João Guimarães Rosa, by Maureen Bisilliat; the short story Libro de Arena, by Jorge Luis Borges, and the installation Libros de Arena, by Mariano Sardón

A Tradução Intersemiótica contribui ainda para a atualização das obras originais, deslocadas para contexto atual.
