Resumo: Early childhood is a fundamental theme to be explored and worked because it is a period of great brain plasticity that results in neurodevelopment, including motor, affective and cognitive development as well as the promotion of autonomy. The main objective of this study is to evaluate an intervention proposal of caregiver - baby bonding and guidance to parents and educators in favor of a more effective and affective contact with the child, helping them in their development. The methodology used was qualitative and quantitative, with evaluations before and at the end of the intervention. A checklist was used for parents and caregivers focusing on infant attachment and stimulation as well as the Schedule of Growing Skills II or SGS II to observe infant development in the ten assessed spheres. : active and passive postural control, locomotor, manipulative, visual, hearing and language, speech, social interaction, personal autonomy and cognitive. Data collection was carried out during 2017, in two Children's Educational Centers of the State of São Paulo; and in 2019 a case study was developed with a family living in Atlanta/USA. The 19-baby intervention group and the 13-baby control group, all between 2 and 24 months, went through the scales and related checklists at the beginning of the year and at the end of the year. The intervention group underwent seven months of weekly work focused on developing the aforementioned spheres through the researcher's bonding relationship with the babies, as well as guidance to parents and educators on promoting safe attachment. The case study was developed with a baby and her family members. Our results indicate that the researcher's intervention with babies promoted their development through insertion in the symbolic and cultural universe. By presenting to the child the artifacts of culture and symbols, he organizes them as protagonists of his own action culminating in autonomy. The child, in relation to the other, appropriates the external world, converting it into the internal, authenticating his power as a human being inserted in the symbolic and cultural universe. In this sense the child develops integrally uniting action, thought and emotion through the process of humanization

description Early childhood is a fundamental theme to be explored and worked because it is a period of great brain plasticity that results in neurodevelopment, including motor, affective and cognitive development as well as the promotion of autonomy.
