This monograph has the scope to examine the institution of Civil Procedural Hearing System in Brazil, based on an analysis of historical and legislative aspects, from the beginning in Austrian law, through German Law, Common Law, Law Italian, Spanish Law, Law Portuguese and Brazilian Law. It also analyzes the concept of the purpose and principles governing the institution of the audience. The study also focuses on the preliminary hearing and conciliation hearing, addressing the core issues, such as the very attempt at reconciliation, the restoration of the process, setting the points at issue, determining the evidence to be produced and its effects on doctrine. Include also the study of hearing and trial in its main doctrinal and jurisprudential aspects, presenting the opening remarks on the topic, concept, features, function, content, purpose, consequences, preparatory acts, structure and procedures of instruction hearing and judgment, as the opening and initial trading, reconciliation and attachment points at issue in the hearing and trial, and acts of instruction, discussions, decisions and judgments in open court. At the end we address the question of the unity of the hearing and trial, and postponement of cases, either by agreement of the parties and the absence or delay in delivery of the Award
