Summary: The goal was to understand the municipal managers’ perceptions regarding the implementation of ageing-focused public policies in Canoas municipality. We conducted five interviews with municipal managers, which were then submitted to a Content Analysis, reaching these categories: Ageing according to managers; municipal public policies; and work strategy. Public policies are implemented, and the managers are engaged in the consolidation of support networks.

Fueron realizadas cinco entrevistas con gestores municipales, sometidas al Análisis de Contenido, alcanzando las siguientes categorías: Envejecimiento a través de los ojos de los gestores, Políticas públicas municipales y Estrategias de trabajo de los gestores. Se implementan políticas públicas y los gestores se comprometen a consolidar la red de atención.Este estudo teve por objetivo conhecer as percepções de gestores municipais sobre a implementação de políticas públicas direcionadas ao envelhecimento no município de Canoas/RS. Foram realizadas cinco entrevistas com gestores municipais, submetidas à Análise de Conteúdo, alcançando as categorias: O envelhecimento pelo olhar dos gestores, Políticas públicas municipais e Estratégias de trabalho dos gestores.
