Para isso, pretendeu-se analisar o fenómeno de bullying, nas duas modalidades presencial e virtual (cyberbullying), captar a prevalência do bullying e do cyberbullying, nas escolas; averiguar a eventual existência de uma ligação entre as duas modalidades de bullying; perceber como estarão ligados o bullying e o cyberbullying, em contexto do ensino secundário; e capturar aspetos como a associação entre o sexo e o papel do indivíduo nos fenómenos. A amostra constituiu-se de 116 alunos do ensino secundário de duas escolas da zona centro do país, com idades compreendidas entre os 16 e os 23 anos de idade, de ambos os sexos. Os resultados obtidos denotaram a ascensão do cyberbullying, num mundo que está cada vez mais tecnológico e virtual, dada a maior frequência desta modalidade, comparativamente com a tradicional. Mais ainda, os resultados demonstraram uma forte ligação entre as duas formas de bullying, dado que os intervenientes de uma se tornam nos intervenientes da outra, alertando para a urgência de intervir nesta problemática.This research focuses on the study of bullying, whose developments have been given not only in a more direct way in schools but also through the use of new technologies in a manner which is called cyberbullying. For this, the aim was to analyze the phenomenon of bullying in both classroom and virtual modes (cyberbullying), capturing the prevalence of bullying and cyberbullying in schools; investigate the possible existence of a link between the two forms of bullying; perceive as bullying and cyberbullying will be linked in the context of secondary education; and capturing aspects such as the association between sex and the individual's role in the phenomena. The sample constituted of 116 secondary school students from two local schools center of the country, aged between 16 and 23 years of age, of both sexes. The results denoted the rise of cyberbullying in a world that is increasingly technological and virtual, given the greater frequency of this type, compared to the traditional.
