Resumo: Factorial Analysis (PCA) of the Portuguese version of Levenson’s Self Report Psychopathy Scale (LSRP-VP), with 19 items, reveals a two factors structure (F1 defined as primary psychopathy and F2 as secondary psychopathy), explaining respectively 21.56% and 14.63% of the variance. The model with two factors, tested via confirmatory factorial analysis, revealed a good fit with the observed data. Reliability (Cronbach alpha), data shows values of .81 for the total score, .82 for F1 and .73 for F2. This LSRP version shows also significant gender differences in primary psychopathy scale, with men scoring higher. This version requires further factorial validation studies.

This version requires further factorial validation studies.L’analyse factorielle (CP) de la version portugaise du “Levenson’s Self Report Psychopathy Scale» (LSRP-VP), réduit à 19 question, révèle deux facteurs (F1 définie comme psychopathie primaire et F2 définie comme psychopathie secondaire) capables de expliquer 21.56% et 14.63% de la variance. Le modèle avec deux facteurs, testé via l’analyse factorielle confirmatoire, a présentez un ajustement acceptable avec les observations recueillis. Cette version révèle, aussi, une bonne cohérence interne mesurée par l’alpha de Cronbach (.81 pour le score total, .82 pour F1 et .73 pour F2) et différences significatives entre les sexes en F1, où les hommes ont des notations plus élevées. Cette version à besoin d’être validez en autres échantillons indépendants.Neste estudo analisa-se a versão portuguesa do Levenson’s Self Report Psychopathy Scale (LSRP-VP). Os resultados são compatíveis com uma estrutura bifactorial: com um factor 1 (F1) de psicopatia primária, e um factor 2 (F2) de psicopatia secundária. Esta estrutura é capaz de explicar, respectivamente, 21.56% e 14.63% da variância. O modelo com dois factores, numa análise factorial confirmatória, revelou um bom ajustamento aos dados. A escala, reduzida a 19 itens, revela valores de consistência interna (alfa de Cronbach) de .81 para o total, .82 para F1 e .73 para F2. Verifica-se, ainda, que F1 é sensível ao género, com os homens a pontuarem mais alto nesta dimensão.
