Participant Observation, as a research technique, allows us to go far beyond the detailed description of the components of a situation, allowing the identification of the way, orientation and dynamic of each situation (Spradley, 1980). With this article, we intend to reunite information from different authors, which have questioned and clarified the use of participant observation as a research method or technique, with a wide application in qualitative naturalistic studies and within these particularly in ethnographic ones. We believe that the experience acquired with the application of the participative observation as the main method in the study that we are developing, the difficulties and wins obtained, as well as the sharing of the questioning and of the reflections in the diverse situations may constitute points of interest.
