Boas práticas e tendências de uso das tecnologias da comunicação no Ensino Superior

This paper presents and discusses best practices and trends in the use of Communication Technologies in public Portuguese Higher Education institutions, from the perspectives of institutional leaders and of their teachers. For this research work, carried out under the TRACER project, a characterization form was developed and administered, intended to be filled by officers with responsibilities for Communication Technologies, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with teachers. Current trends indicate the progressive integration of Communication Technologies in teaching and learning and a special attention to the need for training in the pedagogical use of these technologies. The results suggest that institutional options have some influence on the teaching and learning practices of teachers. The article presents some examples of innovative practice, which scope is not limited to their immediate contexts, therefore representing best practices.
