Resumo: In this work we study the complete work of the Portuguese poet José Emílio-Nelson (b. 1948). Transgressor, anticlerical and marginal, cult author until the end of the 20th century, he knew the consecration as a satirical poet and I practiced an own aesthetic with the collection of his poetry in 2004. However, the joint edition of all the poetry in BelezaTocada (2015) caused retroactive effects that require a revaluation of the functionality of beauty and ugliness artistic, considering the evolutionary processes of erosion under the impact of the mechanics of repetition. The new global perspective also reveals a sedimented Christological imaginary (a parallel in contemporary Portuguese lyricism) under the guise of burlesque. There is also a review of the genealogical roots of this poetry, located in the work of Francisco de Quevedo, which is of special interest for the knowledge of peninsular poetry.
