Resumo: Based on the reading of some poets of the 16th century, which explored the topos of changing, through which one gets the irreversible asymmetry between the cycles of nature and of human life, the text presents a brief approach of the poem «As quatro estações eram cinco» by Jorge de Sena. The goal is both to highlight affinities and emphasize differences in depicting time between the 20th century poet and his predecessors.
