Resumo: In this article we analyse the poetry included in Vitorino Nemésio’s Festa Redonda. Deeply rooted in the remote sources of Nemésio’s human and literary initiation – namely popular quatrains and other oral literary genres the author was in contact with as child – this poetry is a kind of festive discourse that will accompany him as a poet of multiple and versatile expression and content.
