There is a widespread ignorance about what does and what should do an university professor,lecturer or researcher. This is creating dangerous myths about how teachers should be evaluated,because we are paying no attention to the nature of their labor, many processes resulting on the creationof deep injustice. It is feared that such systems, if implemented, result in infinite time-consumingbureaucratic tasks. Precious time that should be used in teaching and research. That may also pollutethe university environment by creating lethal enemies among teaching people, ending up in lengthylegal proceedings. This article seeks to make a diagnosis of myths of arbitrary and subjective criteriafor evaluation, proposing the general basis of a system, certainly imperfect, but objective, allowingeach teacher to develop his / her career, and result in cooperation, not war of all against all.
