Mobiliário litúrgico pétreo no contexto do barroco português: tipologias e funcionalidades

Resumo: The present study, which deals religious Baroque Portuguese furniture, focuses on objects that were in the service of the liturgy, as credences, washbasins, tables or bofetes, pulpits and rails. The highlight of these examples, made in stone, seeks to inform about some of the Eucharistic ceremonial furniture, such as those of the purification of the priest, those that supported the liturgy, those that supported the priest and divided the space. As I have already noted in other studies, the use of stone and the morphologically characteristics that they exhibit, place them within the Portuguese Baroque production.

La visión puesta sobre estos ejemplos, en este caso realizados en piedra, pretende dar a conocer algunos de los muebles que formaban parte de la ceremonia eucarística, de la purificación del sacerdote, que apoyaban vasos litúrgicos, que albergaban lo Padre y que compartían el espacio cultual. Como ya hemos señalado en otros estudios, el uso de la piedra y el hecho de que presentan ciertas características formales, pone estos objetos en el contexto de la producción del barroco portugués.O presente estudo, que trata de mobiliário religioso português do período barroco, centra-se em objectos que estiveram ao serviço da liturgia, como credências, lavabos, mesas ou bofetes, púlpitos e teias. A visão lançada sobre estes exemplos, neste caso realizados em materiais pétreos, procura dar a conhecer alguns dos equipamentos que faziam parte do cerimonial eucarístico, como os da purificação do sacerdote, os que suportavam alfaias, os que albergavam o pregador e aqueles que dividiam o espaço cultual.
