O presente trabalho pretende elucidar sobre a investiga??o do Servi?o Social Portugu?s em torno do tema diversidade de g?nero. O interesse sobre o tema partiu da experi?ncia no est?gio curricular obrigat?rio durante a Licenciatura e a disciplina de g?nero enquanto aluna no curso de Servi?o Social na Universidade Federal Fluminense. Nosso objetivo ? realizar uma an?lise dos resultados em torno da produ??o acad?mica p?s-graduada (Mestrado e Doutoramento) em Servi?o Social. Sendo a estrat?gia metodol?gica a busca teses e disserta??es, nos reposit?rios da IES, a partir de descritores que permitiram identificar o debate de g?nero para al?m da heteronormatividade. As principais conclus?es demonstram que o tema n?o possui expressividade num?rica na Academia, entretanto, as tem?ticas trabalhadas em torno da diversidade de g?nero apresentam discuss?es dotadas de criticidade e compromisso ?tico, identificando pr?-conceitos diante das rela??es sociais da popula??o LGBT desde o passado at? os dias atuais. / The present work intends to elucidate on the investigation of the Portuguese Social Service around the theme of gender diversity. The interest on the theme came from the experience in the mandatory curricular internship during the Licentiate degree and the gender discipline as a student in the Social Work course at Universidade Federal Fluminense. Our goal is to conduct an analysis of the results around the postgraduate academic production (Master and PhD) in Social Work. As the methodological strategy is the search for theses and dissertations, in the IES repositories, based on descriptors that allowed the identification of the gender debate beyond heteronormativity. The main conclusions demonstrate that the theme has no numerical expressiveness in the Academy, however, the themes worked around gender diversity present discussions endowed with criticality and ethical commitment, identifying preconceptions regarding the social relations of the LGBT population from the past to the current days.
