Resumo: The First World War (1914-1918) was a privileged stage to experience the power of propaganda in the context of war. The different states involved in the Great War quickly understood the importance of propaganda, using posters as a means of justifying their involvement in the Conflict, recruiting men and sustaining the military campaign. The propaganda served to convince public opinion of the need for the War, since it was a fight for freedom. The aim of this communication is to analyze which was the cinema's contribution in this war propaganda and which was the Army Cinematographic Services' role, in 1917, at the time of Portugal's. El objetivo de esta comunicación es analizar cuál fue la contribución del cine en esta propaganda de guerra y cuál fue el papel de los Servicios Cinematográficos del Ejército, en 1917, en la época de la Guerra de Portugal. La propagande sert à convaincre l'opinion publique de la nécessité de la guerre, puisqu'il s'agit d'un combat pour la liberté. L'objectif de cette communication est d'analyser quelle a été la contribution du cinéma dans cette propagande de guerre et quel a été le rôle des Services Cinématographiques de l'Armée, en 1917, au moment de l'invasion du Portugal.
