The objective of this paper is to collect the sources that link, directly or indirectly, the circulation relations of the printed materials of the Instituto Nacional do Livro of Brazil and with the Portuguese State. With that, the collections of works that were exchanged between the two countries were inventoried, as well as other intellectual relations existing between Brazil and Portugal. In view of the obscurantism that permeates the social history of the Instituto Nacional do Livro and the very lack of other historiographical researches dedicated to this theme, the present work presents itself as a valuable contribution on the editorial circuits that permeated important chapters of the circulation of print in the Brazil and Portugal throughout the 20th century.
