Este trabalho de pesquisa visa contribuir com os estudos de avaliação educacional sobre os Movimentos Sociais, investigando as práticas político-pedagógicas dos educadores da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), no Assentamento João Batista II, do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra, na Amazônia Paraense. Analisam-se as práxis político- pedagógicas dos professores da EJA, especialmente nas duas etapas iniciais, 1ª e 2ª etapa, na Escola do Assentamento João Batista II localizado no Município de Castanhal-PA, região do Nordeste paraense. O foco deste estudo é a Educação de Jovens e Adultos, pela sua importância na formação cultural e política dos militantes do movimento, mas também pelo compromisso dos educadores em geral da Escola Roberto Remigi, de estarem contribuindo com a transformação social. A pesquisa caracteriza-se por uma abordagem qualitativa, do tipo descritiva, que buscou descrever as práticas, teorias e a políticas educacionais desenvolvidas na Escola junto à comunidade. Os procedimentos metodológicos para produção de dados foram: entrevistas semi-estruturadas e etnográficas, observação participante e análise bibliográfica. A práxis político-pedagógica desenvolvida na Escola do Assentamento João Batista II, na organização do coletivo de educação é com base nos princípios políticos e filosóficos da Pedagogia do MST. Essa Pedagogia, por sua vez, inspira-se na Educação Popular e na Pedagogia Socialista. Constatou-se na prática que houve avanço nas atividades pedagógicas da Escola como gestão democrática, onde o Projeto Político Pedagógico é construído junto com os membros da comunidade. A escola apresenta inovações, seguindo teorias críticas, construtivistas e transformadoras, conseguindo assim realizar os objetivos da educação que o movimento historicamente vem implementando em todo o país: uma educação critica, de qualidade em busca do objetivo final que é a construção de uma sociedade democrática; ### ABSTRACT: The political-pedagogical praxis the Education of Youth and Adults (EJA): A Case Study of the Movement of Landless Workers (MST), Roberto Remigi School, the Baptist Settlement II - Castanhal/PA. Thesis (MA in Education) - University of Evora - Portugal, 2010. This research aims to contribute to studies of educational evaluation on Social Movements, investigating the political and pedagogical practices of educators of Youth and Adults (EJA), the Baptist Settlement II, the Movement of Landless Rural Workers in Amazon of. It examines the political-pedagogical praxis of adult education teachers, especially in two stages, 1st and 2nd stage, the Settlement School of John the Baptist II located in the Municipality of Castanhal-PA, a Northeastern region of Pará. The focus of this study is the Youth and Adult Education, for its importance in the cultural and political activists of the movement, but also by the commitment of educators in general Roberto Remigi School, they are contributing to social transformation. The research is characterized by a qualitative approach with a descriptive, which sought to describe the practices, theories and educational policies developed at the school in the community. The methodological procedures for the production of data were semi-structured interviews and ethnographic, participant observation and literature review. The political-pedagogical praxis developed in John the Baptist School Settlement II, the organization of public education is based on political and philosophical principles of the Pedagogy of the MST. This pedagogy, in turn, is based on Adult Education and Socialist Pedagogy. It was found that in practice there has been progress in the educational activities of the School as democratic, where the Educational Policy Project is built along with community members. The school's advances, following critical theories, constructivist, transformative, thus accomplishing the goals of education that the movement historically has been implementing throughout the country: a critical education, quality in search of the ultimate goal of building a democratic society.
