Geographical indications as a tool for territorial management and sustainability in the Identity Territory of the Jiquiriçá Valley

Resumo: The general objective of this work is to evaluate the potential geographical indication of the region of the river basin in the Jiquiriçá valley as a tool for territorial and sustainable management and ecological-based tourism. The methodology used refers to bibliographic and documentary research, of a descriptive character, and an eminently qualitative approach, with the use of secondary data. The results obtained point to the relevance of analytical public policies around Geographical Indications in favor of regional development and the valorization of the territory.

A metodologia de pesquisa utilizada refere-se à pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, de caráter e descritivo, e abordagem eminentemente qualitativa, com o uso de dados secundários.
