Discursive textual analysis of transgenic on Biology educational sites

Resumo: | There are many transgenic products in everyday life. In addition, it is common to have debates on the topic in the media, often without technical support. Bearing in mind that students have access to the media and that they can influence the construction of their knowledge, this work aimed to carry out a textual discourse analysis on this topic in the educational websites of Biology. The results show that the concept of the term has errors, the explanation of transgenics is fragile and there are few examples. The lack of scientific basis may contribute to a critical view of transgenics, or to facilitate the manipulation of opinions. |

Además, es común tener debates sobre el tema en los medios de comunicación, a menudo sin soporte técnico. Teniendo en cuenta que los estudiantes tienen acceso a los medios digitales, y que estos pueden influir en la construcción de su conocimiento, este trabajo tuvo como objetivo realizar un análisis textual discursivo sobre este tema en los artículos de los sitios web de biología educativa. Los resultados encontrados indican que los artículos presentan una débil base científica y conceptualización, explicaciones inapropiadas sobre la técnica transgénica y ejemplificación restringida, lo que compromete la comprensión de la aplicabilidad de la técnica. La falta de base científica puede implicar una visión acrítica de los OMG, lo que facilita la manipulación de opiniones.Há vários produtos do cotidiano que são feitos a partir de transgênicos. Além disto, é comum ocorrerem debates sobre o tema na mídia, muitas vezes sem respaldo técnico. Tendo em vista que os alunos têm acesso aos meios midiáticos e que esses podem influenciar na construção de seus conhecimentos, este trabalho teve por objetivo realizar uma análise textual discursiva sobre esse tema em sites educativos de Biologia. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que os sites apresentam embasamento e conceituação científica frágeis, explicações inapropriadas sobre a técnica de transgenia e exemplificação restrita, o que compromete a compreensão da aplicabilidade da técnica.
