LIFE PROJECT IN MINAS GERAIS: ANYTHING GOES? DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE TEACHING PROFILE FOR THIS HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM COMPONENT

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the guidelines of the Minas Gerais State Department of Education regarding the implementation of the curricular component of the New High School - Life Project - in terms of not defining a teacher profile to teach the subject. Analyzing a set of curricular documents, the guidelines for implementing a Life Project in Minas Gerais and the summary of a Sociology textbook, we carried out a document analysis and comparison of the contents to demonstrate the alignment between the themes oriented to the Life Project and the curricular content of the Sociology/Social Sciences subject at school. In spite of all our criticisms and considerations regarding the implementation of the New High School reform and the Life Project; despite the impossibility of immediate revocation of this regulation, we understand that, once it has become a mandatory curricular component, it is imperative to define a teacher profile with adequate training to carry out the teaching and learning process of high school students. Such a measure can contribute, in our view, to mitigate the possible impacts of content developed in a meritocratic, individualistic and decontextualized perspective.

Such a measure can contribute, in our view, to mitigate the possible impacts of content developed in a meritocratic, individualistic and decontextualized perspective.Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las directrices de la Secretaría de Educación del Estado de Minas Gerais con respecto a la implementación del componente curricular de la Nueva Escuela Secundaria - Proyecto de Vida - en cuanto a no definir un perfil docente para impartir la asignatura. Analizando un conjunto de documentos curriculares, las directrices para la implementación de un Proyecto de Vida en Minas Gerais y el resumen de un libro de texto de Sociología, realizamos un análisis de documentos y una comparación de los contenidos para demostrar la alineación entre los temas orientados al Proyecto de Vida y el contenido curricular de la asignatura Sociología/Ciencias Sociales en la escuela. A pesar de todas nuestras críticas y consideraciones respecto a la implementación de la reforma del Nuevo Liceo y el Proyecto de Vida; a pesar de la imposibilidad de revocación inmediata de esta norma, entendemos que, una vez que se haya convertido en un componente curricular obligatorio, es imperativo definir un perfil docente con la formación adecuada para llevar a cabo el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los estudiantes de secundaria. Tal medida puede contribuir, a nuestro juicio, a mitigar los posibles impactos de contenidos desarrollados desde una perspectiva meritocrática, individualista y descontextualizada.Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as orientações da Secretaria de Estado de Educação de Minas Gerais acerca da implementação do componente curricular do Novo Ensino Médio - Projeto de Vida - no que compete a não definição de um perfil docente para lecionar a disciplina. Analisando um conjunto de documentos curriculares, as orientações para implementação de Projeto de Vida em Minas Gerais e o sumário de um livro didático de Sociologia, realizamos a análise documental e comparação dos conteúdos para demonstrar o alinhamento entre os temas orientados para Projeto de Vida e o conteúdo curricular da disciplina de Sociologia/Ciências Sociais escolar. A despeito de todas as nossas críticas e considerações relativas à implementação da reforma do Novo Ensino Médio e do Projeto de Vida; a despeito da impossibilidade de revogação imediata desta normativa, entendemos que, uma vez tornado componente curricular obrigatório, é imperiosa a definição de um perfil docente com formação adequada para realizar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos(as) estudantes do Ensino Médio.
