THE INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF SCIENTIFIC INITIATION: THE WAY OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF GOIÁS

Resumo: | The Scientific Initiation activityu developed in the country by researchers and students in the Brazilian graduations was conceived and promoted by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, since the fifties years of the last century, being a current practice in Higher Education Institutions. We describe the trajectory from 1990 to 2020 of the scientific initiation at the Federal University of Goiás to understand its instituttionalization as a research development strategy. In this way, we choose the Process Tracing methodology, which involved documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews. Also, we use the NVivo software for content analysis, which mad it possible to extract the descriptive data and infer the qualitative analysis nof the phenomenon. The results obtained indicate evidence that leads to seeing the institutionalization of the practiceat UFG and that it has the strength to continue exercinsing its essential role with the academic community. |

Describimos la trayectoria de 1990 a 2020 de la iniciación científica en la Universidad Federal de Goiás para entender su institucionalización como estrategia de desarrollo de la investigación. De esta manera, optamos por la metodología Process Tracing, que involucró análisis documental y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Además, utilizamos el software NVivo para el análisis de contenido, que permitió extraer los datos descriptivos e inferir el análisis cualitativo del fenómeno. Los resultados obtenidos indican evidencia que lleva a ver la institucionalización de la práctica en la UFG y que tiene la fuerza para seguir ejerciendo su papel fundamental con la comunidad académica.A Iniciação Científica (IC), atividade no país por pesquisadores e estudantes na graduação brasileira, foi concebida e fomentada pelo Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico, desde o início da década de 50 do século passado, sendo uma prática corrente nas Instituições de Ensino Superior. Este trabalho buscou compreender como aconteceu a institucionalização da Iniciação Científica no ambiente da Universidade Federal de Goiás, com foco nos dados disponibilizados (físico, pessoal e financeiro) e na cultura da IC, a partir da descrição de sua trajetória de 1990 a 2020. Como estratégia de pesquisa elegeu-se o estudo de caso utilizando a metodologia de Process Tracing , que envolveu analysis documental and desconstruídas.Uma análise de conteúdo foi feita com o apoio do software NVivo, o que possibilitou extrair os dados descritivos e inferir uma análise qualitativa do fenômeno.
