Resumo: Objetivou-se compreender como ocorre a resolutividade do problema de saúde de crianças com necessidades especiais na perspectiva dos cuidadores, considerando os atributos da atenção primária e a concepção do cuidado integral. Pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa baseada no referencial da hermenêutica dialética, envolvendo famílias de crianças com necessidades especiais de saúde atendidas em unidades de pronto atendimento de Cascavel, PR, em 2010. Identificou-se como categoria temática central: Fragilidade na extensão dos atributos da atenção primária e nos elementos do cuidado integral no seguimento à saúde de crianças com necessidades especiais. Para as famílias, os serviços de saúde resolvem os problemas de saúde das crianças, contudo, verificaram-se inconsistências ao analisar os atributos da atenção primária e elementos do cuidado integral.Palavras-chave: Saúde da Criança; Doença Crônica; Atenção Primária à Saúde; Enfermagem Pediátrica. Resolution of the attention of child with special health care needsAbstract: This study aimed to understand the process of the health problem´s resolution of children´s health with special health care needs from the caregivers’ perspective, considering the attributes of primary health care and comprehensive care. Qualitative approach based on the hermeneutics-dialect referential, involving family of the children with special health needs treated in emergency care of Cascavel-PR in 2010. Identifying as a central thematic category: weakness in the extension of the primary health care attribution and in the elements of the comprehensive care for the follow up of children with special health needs. For the families the health services solve the health problems presented by the children, even though the inconsistencies in the extension of the primary health care attributes´, as well as, in the elements of the comprehensive care.Keywords: Child Health; Chronic Disease; Primary Health Care; Pediatric Nursing.
