O objetivo do presente trabalho é investigar a obra Senhora de José Martiniano Alencar, publicada no ano de 1875. Com influências da sociedade da época esse romance urbano traz, em seu interior, uma crítica à maneira como a sociedade lidava com os casamentos e a ascensão burguesa. Diante desse contexto se fará uma investigação a nível lexical, semântica e linguística com a pretensão de revelar o uso de uma tessitura do texto, provando que a obra escrita por José de Alencar é um construto muito bem articulado. Para isso, foi usado o método de pesquisa bibliográfica com estudos de autores como Roman Jakobson, Antônio Candido, Linda Hutcheon entre outros. A pesquisa trouxe como resultado a veracidade da construção implícita no interior de um texto, bem como, sua programação para que as partes se articulem até formar o contexto.Referência: MARTINS, Beatriz Almeida. This work aims at investigating José de Alencar’s novel “Senhora”, which was published in 1875. This book is a urban novel and possesses influences from the Brazilian 19th century society, as well as critics to the manner with which it dealt with marriage and with the ascension of the bourgeoisie. Taking this context into consideration, this work will investigate the novel from a linguistic point of view, considering the lexical and the semantic levels. Its objective is to reveal the use of tessiture in the text, proving that Alencar’s novel is a well articulated book. For this we have researched authors such as Roman Jakobson, Antônio Candido and Linda Hutcheon.
