The statistic thought in the Elementar School: na experience with research’ s projects linked with an eletronic didactic sequence

Resumo: This article presents the results of an investigation that searched to answer as an articulation of    the    didactic    strategy    on   research’s    projects    with   the    implement (development, application and evaluation) of an electronic didactic sequence containing the basic concepts of the Statistics contributes to a formation of the students’ statistic thought in the 9 year of Elementary Teaching that didn’t have access to the Statistics contents in the previous years of scholarship. It was adopted for the development in this investigation a qualitative approach. Data were collected using a questionnaire (to profile the participating students), the SIENA databanks, the records produced by students, direct observations carried out by the researcher, and video recordings. The results pointed that the implementation of an electronic didactic sequence integrated with a methodologic strategy of research ‘s projects gave opportunity to the participant students in the experience , the study of the statistics concepts , as well the conditions to the comprehension of conceptual , proceeding and attitudinal aspects desirable to the development of the statistic literacy articulated to the development of the statistics abilities, evidenced by the teacher through the attendance and the evaluation of the performance  of the groups in the accomplishment of the practical activities that constituted the settled stages for the development of research’s projects, on that was possible to identify the presence of the necessary components to the formation of the statistic thought.

Adotou-se para o desenvolvimento desta investigação uma abordagem qualitativa. Os instrumentos de coleta de dados foram: um questionário para traçar o perfil dos estudantes investigados; os bancos de dados fornecidos pelo Sistema Siena; os registros produzidos pelos alunos; observações realizadas pela professora pesquisadora; filmagens.
