Importance of PIBID in the training of the disciples of the Biological Cience course of the Federal Institute of São Paulo - campus São Roque (SP).

Resumo: | Activities of the São Roque PIBID subproject were carried out in two schools of the São Roque municipal school system from July 2011 to March 2018, aiming at the improvement of teacher education for basic education, as well as the improvement of school students' learning involved. The aim of this study was to know the point of view of ex-scholarship holders of the Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences at IFSP (Campus São Roque) about the importance of the program in their teacher education. For this, questions were sent via e-mail that were completed on the online platform. Thirty-eight former fellows answered the questions. Of these, 24 already knew the program before participating in it. Twenty-two people reported that the scholarship was very important for them to stay in college. Thirty- six considered the experience extremely relevant to their teacher education and understanding of the teaching-learning process. Twenty-four said they wanted to pursue their teaching career, and 15 considered PIBID to be very important in their decision to continue in this area. The results demonstrate the importance of PIBID in the maintenance of undergraduate students, in their vocational training and decision to pursue their teaching career. |

The results demonstrate the importance of PIBID in the maintenance of undergraduate students, in their vocational training and decision to pursue their teaching career.O programa PIBID, financiado pela Capes, foi desenvolvido na EMEF Barão de Piratininga e EMEF Tetsu Chinone (em parceria com o IFSP, campus São Roque) de julho de 2011 a março de 2018, tendo como público-alvo os alunos de 6° a 9° anos do ensino fundamental. Com o objetivo de conhecer a importância do programa para a formação dos ex-bolsistas do curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas do IFSP (Campus São Roque), questões foram enviadas via correio eletrônico e preenchidas na plataforma online (formulários). Trinta e oito ex-bolsistas responderam às perguntas. Desses, vinte e quatro já conheciam o programa antes de participarem dele. Vinte e duas pessoas relataram que a bolsa foi muito importante para que se mantivessem na licenciatura. Em 94,7% dos casos, os entrevistados consideraram a experiência extremamente relevante para a sua formação docente e para uma melhor compreensão do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Vinte e quatro ex-bolsistas afirmaram querer seguir caminho na carreira docente, sendo que quinze deles consideraram o PIBID muito importante na decisão de continuar nessa área.
