Mathematics in the community: an educational context to the social learning

Resumo: This article brings a snippet of a research developed in Vacaria, a city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, where investigated the integration and divulgation of mathematical knowledge in the community, from an educational context to the socialization of such knowledge of curriculum of basic education, with a view to social learning and the awakening the interest of young people to an academic career related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The qualitative approach of action-investigation, used directed interviews to participating community, photographic records with the tasks resolutions. The analyses permeate the Common National Curriculum Base and the Cognitive Demands when choice tasks. The different forms of learn to learn Mathematics, the mobilization, the interest, the knowledge sharing was verified; as the different forms of resolutions and mathematical reasoning employed in front of presented tasks. The evidences indicate that knowledge that involve Financial Mathematics are very present in social activities and professionals of community as a memory exercise employing arithmetic algorithms, however, the knowledge related to development of algebraic thinking offer some obstacles in understanding algebraic symbology and, still, emphasize the importance of school about basic skills development.

The evidences indicate that knowledge that involve Financial Mathematics are very present in social activities and professionals of community as a memory exercise employing arithmetic algorithms, however, the knowledge related to development of algebraic thinking offer some obstacles in understanding algebraic symbology and, still, emphasize the importance of school about basic skills development.Este artículo presenta un extracto de una investigación desarrollada en el municipio de Vacaría, en estado de Río Grande del Sur, donde se investigó la integración y divulgación de conocimientos matemáticos en la comunidad, desde un contexto educativo para la socialización de dichos conocimientos del currículo de Educación Básica, teniendo en vista la aprendizaje social y el despertar de intereses de los jóvenes por una carrera relacionada con las áreas de las Científicas, Tecnología, Ingeniaría y Matemática. El enfoque cualitativo de la investigación-acción utilizó entrevistas dirigidas a la comunidad participante, registros fotográficos con resolución de tareas.  Los análisis impregnan la Base Curricular Nacional Común y las demandas cognitivas en la elección de tareas. Se verificaron las diferentes formas de aprender a aprender matemáticas, la movilización, el interés y el intercambio de conocimientos, así como, las diferentes formas de resolución y razonamiento matemático empleados en las tareas presentadas. Las evidencias señalan que los conocimientos que involucran la matemática financiera están muy presente en las actividades sociales y profesionales de la comunidad como un ejercicio de memoria empleando algoritmos aritméticos, sin embargo, los conocimientos relacionados con el desarrollo del pensamiento algebraico ofrecieron algunos obstáculos en la comprensión de la simbología algebraica y, aún así, enfatizamos la importancia de la escuela en el desarrollo de habilidades básicas.Este artigo traz um recorte de uma pesquisa desenvolvida no município de Vacaria, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, onde investigou-se a integração e divulgação de conhecimentos matemáticos na comunidade, a partir de um contexto educativo para a socialização de tais conhecimentos do currículo da Educação Básica, tendo em vista a aprendizagem social e o despertar do interesse dos jovens para uma carreira acadêmica relacionada as áreas de Ciências, Tecnologia, Engenharia e Matemática. A abordagem qualitativa de investigação-ação utilizou entrevistas dirigidas à comunidade participante, registros fotográficos com as resoluções das tarefas. As análises permeiam a Base Nacional Comum Curricular e as Demandas Cognitivas na escolha das tarefas. As diferentes formas de aprender a aprender Matemática, a mobilização, o interesse, o compartilhamento dos conhecimentos foi verificado; as diferentes formas de resoluções e de raciocínio matemático empregado perante as tarefas apresentadas.
