Resumo: Audiodescription is an accessibility resource which, through the translation of visual text into verbal text, broadens the understanding for people with visual impairment. It is currently an important resource in the process of including these people in the spaces of society, from leisure and culture to education and work environment. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to report an experience in the analysis of images featured in questions off the National High School Exam / 2015, and their respective audiodescriptions, in a mini-course, entitled "Introduction to Audiodescription", carried out within the scope of the Audiovisual Translation Laboratory at State University of Ceará, in the year 2016. The participants of that mini-course, which aimed at the introductory training of audio descriptors, were students of the undergraduate course of Languages and the postgraduate course of the Program in Applied Linguistics, both from the State University of Ceará; it included also other normovisuals, and two blind students. The work was based on studies in the area of Audiovisual Translation, especially in the work of Aderaldo (2014) and insights from Motta (2016), with the goal of analyzing the images and elaborating audiodescripts scripts. The results showed the importance of promoting the visual training of audiodescriptors – screenwriters and consultors –, in order to mark audiodescription as one of the necessary tools for the empowerment of visually impaired people in our society.
