Sexualities in the Apocryphal Acts of the Apostles from Foucault

Resumo: I propose an interpretation of sexualities in the Apocryphal Acts of the Apostles, based on concepts present in the writings of the French philosopher Michel Foucault (1926-1984), following a path: (1) I begin with some theoretical considerations about how Foucault addressed the issue of sexuality in his books, articles and courses; (2) I follow the path by speaking a little about the primary sources that I will use in the final part of my writing, and finally I deal with various quotations and examples taken from the Apocryphal Acts of the Apostles as a way of trying to demonstrate the diversity of concepts and practices related to sexuality, into alternative groups of Christianity in the ancient world.
