The Indian on TV Xuxa: a semiotic analysis

This work presents a reading about a block from TV Xuxa program displayed on April 14, 2012. On occasion, a rap group from the Indian Reserve from Dourados was invited to show his performance as an homage to the days of the Indian. The analysis is based on Greimas Semiotics and make some considerations about the three levels of the generative route - critical, narrative and discursive - with a view for contributing to the construction of all meaning. The study reveals, among other things, the work with the relationship between traditional and modern values, oppression and freedom of expression. A semiotic analysis of the corpus, therefore, establishes, at various levels, the relationship between the parts, in a semiotic model that realizes a route that simulates the production of meaning. It is expected to contribute to science semiotics, its application and demonstrate the relevance of the subject for its social and human as well as serve as a resource for theoretical and methodological work with reading in the classroom.
