Literacy in the course syllabus of Letras courses in the Brazilian Federal Universities

Resumo: This article seeks to quantify and analyze the incidence of disciplines aimed at the study of literacy(s) by reading the syllabi of Letras courses at Brazilian federal universities. This is a documentary research, and the data analyzed were the curricular matrices of Language courses at Brazilian Federal Universities. The corpus is made up of 48 curriculum matrices, collected electronically, on university websites or requested by email. Such data were tabulated and analyzed being presented in a qualitative approach. The results showed that 34 Brazilian federal universities contemplate literacy in their curricular matrices of their Letras courses, according to their Course Pedagogical Projects. Thus, it can be seen that these universities are concerned with keeping up-to-date on topics relevant to teacher education, providing them with a more solid education that is consistent with the needs of today's society.

Esta es una investigación documental, y los datos analizados fueron las matrices curriculares de los cursos de Idiomas en las Universidades Federales de Brasil. El corpus está compuesto por 48 matrices curriculares, recolectadas electrónicamente, en sitios web universitarios o solicitadas por correo electrónico. Tales datos fueron tabulados y analizados siendo presentados en un enfoque cualitativo. Los resultados mostraron que 34 universidades federales brasileñas contemplan la alfabetización en sus matrices curriculares de sus cursos de Literatura, según sus Proyectos Pedagógicos de Curso. Así, se puede apreciar que estas universidades se preocupan por mantenerse actualizadas en temas relevantes para la formación docente, brindándoles una formación más sólida y acorde a las necesidades de la sociedad actual.O presente artigo busca quantificar e analisar a incidência de disciplinas dirigidas ao estudo do(s) letramento(s) por meio da leitura das de 48 ementas de cursos de Letras das universidades federais brasileiras. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental, tendo por base de dados 48 matrizes curriculares coletadas por meio eletrônico, nos sites das universidades ou solicitadas por e-mail ao departamento de Letras. Os resultados demonstraram que o letramento está presente na formação inicial do professor de Línguas nas Universidades Federais de todo o território nacional. Evidenciou-se ainda que o assunto é mais fortemente presente nas ementas dos PPC publicados após o ano de 2017 e, também, que o uso social da língua figura como pano de fundo para os estudos do letramento na maioria das ementas analisadas neste estudo.
