Summary: The aim of this study was to understand the challenges and perspectives of change that teachers of the Physical Therapy course at Londrina State University found when establishing the curricular guidelines. Interviews and document analysis were conducted of curricula from 1992 and 2006, and the contents were analyzed by means of qualitative methodology. Results showed that the humanization of relations allied with interdisciplinarity can add new values to the formation of physical therapists; however, internal resistance by some teachers and the lack of material infra-structure and investments could compromise the development of planned new actions.

Para o levantamento das informações, foram realizadas entrevistas em profundidade e análise documental dos currículos de 1992 e 2006, sendo o conteúdo analisado por meio de metodologia qualitativa.
