Resumo: The study was carried out to evaluate the performance of growing rabbits' fed rations containing copper with or without zinc bacitracin (ZB). 60 New Zealand White rabbits were used, in a completely randomized design. The treatments consisted of one controlled diet and other nine rations containing increasing levels of copper (250, 500, 750 and 1000 ppm) with or without ZB (0.05%). In absence of ZB, quadratic effect (p < 0.05) of copper levels on weigh gain, feed intake, feed conversion and carcass weight were observed. The highest weight gain was observed with the rations containing 567 ppm of copper. The highest feed intake, best-feed conversion and highest carcass weight were observed with cooper levels near to 570 ppm. In presence of ZB there were no effects cooper (p > 0.05) on performance.
