Resumo: While reviewing the importance of attention during motor skill acquisition we realized the necessity to analyze strategies that work on selective attention mechanisms with the objective of maximizing the learning process. The objective of the learning cues is to increase the relevance of an important point in the task, directing the student’s attention, while assisting on the retention and the retrieval of information whenever is necessary. The objective of this article was to review several studies which used learning cues as a cognitive strategy while learning motor skill ability.

The objective of this article was to review several studies which used learning cues as a cognitive strategy while learning motor skill ability.Ao verificar a importância da atenção na aquisição de habilidades motoras percebe-se a necessidade em analisar estratégias aplicadas que atuem sobre os mecanismos de atenção seletiva, de forma a maximizar o processo de aprendizagem. As dicas têm o objetivo de ressaltar o ponto importante da tarefa direcionando a atenção do aluno e auxiliando na retenção e resgate da informação quando solicitada novamente.
