EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL LEARNING IN BRAZIL: the state of knowledge of research productions in the context of the History of Professional Education

Summary: | The History of Professional Education has gained space in the field of Education History. On the foundation built from discussions on school culture and political discourse, by intellectuals, and educational institutions alike, the study of professional education has broadened its scope, time frames and even the documents available to the researchers. Given this scenario, this article brings some thoughts regarding the state of the art of the researches that relate to the history of professional education, focusing on dissertations and theses produced in Brazil, on that subject. In this work we tried to have an analysis both quantitative and qualitative, observing, on one hand, the volume of researches and how they present themselves in the post grad programs; on the other hand, the profile of those studies, their methodologies and sources, among other aspects. After building a robust database, we proceed to the analysis, discussion and problematization of the gathered data, looking for research tendencies. Beyond that, the article intends to reflect on research possibilities that weren't sufficiently explored enough. |

Desde los caminos abiertos por las discusiones relacionadas con la cultura escolar, el discurso político, los intelectuales, así como las instituciones educativas, el estudio de la educación para el trabajo ha ido ampliando su alcance, los plazos e incluso los tipos de documentos a disposición de los investigadores. Ante este escenario, este artículo trae algunas reflexiones sobre el estado del arte de la investigación relacionada con la historia de la educación profesional, con especial atención a las disertaciones y tesis producidas en Brasil, dedicadas al tema mencionado. En el trabajo en pantalla buscamos mezclar un análisis tanto cuantitativo como cualitativo, observando, en el primer caso, el volumen de producciones y cómo se presentan dentro de los programas de posgrado; en el segundo, el perfil de los estudios, las metodologías y fuentes utilizadas, entre otros. Una vez construidos los datos, procedemos a un análisis, discusión y problemas del material levantado, buscando observar las tendencias de investigación. Además, se pretende reflexionar sobre las posibilidades de investigación que aún no han sido suficientemente exploradas.A educação profissional tem ganhado cada vez mais espaço no campo da educação, como um dos temas da História da Educação. Assim, este artigo objetiva, no geral, elencar, analisar e refletir sobre o desenvolvimento de pesquisas nas pós-graduações brasileiras que trataram de temáticas relacionadas à História da Educação Profissional; no específico, desenvolver o estado do conhecimento da produção de dissertações e teses, mapeando e discutindo aspectos e dimensões da produção, no que concerne à vinculação institucional, a área de conhecimento, temáticas escolhidas e temporalidades pesquisadas. A opção pelo estado do conhecimento como metodologia tem a ver com as possiblidades analíticas oferecidas para o conhecimento do campo investigativo e, também, pelas contribuições que oferecem para se saber o percurso de pesquisa numa dada temporalidade.
