A dimensão técnico-operativa do Serviço Social em questão: tendências atuais do debate da profissão

The main objective of this study was the technical-operative dimension of Social Work. The systematization of the data presented here are result of the investigation process that aimed to analyze how the Social Work debate is configured on its technical-operative dimension. While methodology, we opted for bibliographic research, through which we carried out the survey next to the digital annals of the Brazilian Congress of Social Work (CBAS) and the National Meeting of Researchers in Social Work (ENPESS) selecting the articles published that presented as central discussion the approach of the technical-operative dimension of the Social Work, from 2004 to 2014. The synthesis of the data analysis revealed the continuity of trends already pointed in accomplished analyzes in relation to this subject. We identified that the discussion about the technical-operative dimension of the profession remains secondarily within the scope of the Social Work debate, presenting a reduced number of articles found that approach the theme in the Annals of CBAS and ENPESS. The analysis of the data also revealed that the appropriation of the technical-operative dimension of Social Service Work has been traced by the reproduction of misunderstandings and gaps already contested by the professional literature oriented by the historical-critical strand. Therefore, the maintenance of the trends identified through this study presents itself in a challenging way for the Brazilian Social Service Work, since they have implications for both the scope of training as to the professional practice of social workers, passing by inherent issues, also, the strategic social direction of the profession, guided by the principles present in the ethical-political project of the profession.
