Resumo: In the period from 2009 to 2015, Brazil has registered a yearly average of 40,600 Aids cases. The sexual transmission still is the main form of exposure to HIV / AIDS in Brazil and worldwide. Throughout the epidemic, stigma and prejudice were linked, as well as the concept of risk attached to preventive policies and practices aimed at specifics populations. In this aspect, there is the group of people with hearing disabilities, who even having rights established and guaranteed by law, face difficulties and barriers in relation to the promotion and assistance to their health. The communication with the deaf, presents itself as a major challenge faced by health professionals in providing service to the referred population. Deaf people have difficulty in receiving appropriate care and this is mainly due to the unpreparedness of the professionals and the lack of qualification from your formation until the qualification in the services network and, especially, to the unawareness of the same around the Libras. In this perspective, this study aimed to: Validate an Educational Technology in Brazilian Sign Language related to HIV and AIDS as a means of promoting health. Method: This is a methodological development study, focused on the creation, development and validation of an ET, realized in the city of Campina Grande/PB, from April 2015 to July 2016. To conduct this study, it was adopted and adapted the assumption used by Echer, counting: Research Project Elaboration and Submission to the Ethics Committee; Bibliographical Survey; Elaboration of the material, and finally, Qualification and Validation by experts in the subject and representatives of the target population group. It was chosen for this study the Content Validation considering for its analysis the determination of the IVC and the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient. Results: Has been developed an educational video about HIV and AIDS, with an average duration of 20 minutes, which was validated by judges in the subject and population representatives for which this study is intended. As far as the statistical analysis is concerned, according to Cronbach’s Alpha, the results of 0,989 e 0,634 were obtained referring to evaluations realized with specialists and the targeted public, respectively. In relation to the IVC applied, in its great majority, it was obtained IVC equal or superior to 0.80. Conclusion: The educational technology in Brazilian Sign Language developed in this study: "Learning about HIV and AIDS presents validity and representativity to be used for care and health education processes of the targeted public. It is expected that this study will enable the execution of others who are facing the thematic addressed, as well as other ISTs, in order to break the barriers caused by problems in the communication process and to assist in the self-care actions, of promotion and prevention to the health of the deaf.

Submitted by Jean Medeiros (jeanletras@uepb.edu.br) on 2019-05-06T17:46:48Z No. of bitstreams: 1 PDF - Isabella Medeiros de Oliveira Magalhães.pdf: 25276135 bytes, checksum: 4e000a2ac226065dd79d44c5323b5b3d (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Secta BC (secta.csu.bc@uepb.edu.br) on 2019-05-13T19:20:29Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 PDF - Isabella Medeiros de Oliveira Magalhães.pdf: 25276135 bytes, checksum: 4e000a2ac226065dd79d44c5323b5b3d (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2019-05-13T19:20:29Z (GMT).
