This article is the result of a professional master's thesis in Education and New Technologies. It presents the analysis of data from semi-structured interviews, carried out with directors, pedagogues and teachers working in the state education network in the city of Curitiba. The objective of the research was to investigate the appropriation and use of the Online Class Record (RCO), a computerized school record tool in order to identify and analyze the relationship established between the subjects of the school and the digital technology in question. The authors who supported the research were Vieira Pinto (2005); Feenberg (2013); Paro (2016); Freire (2000); Brandão; Dagnino; Novaes, (2004); Ferreira (2001). When analyzing the subjects' speeches, 5 categories emerged from the research data: Conception of technology; Preparation for appropriation and use of the Online Class Registration; Technological apparatus; Functionalities of the digital tool (RCO); Democracy or control of teaching work. In the research, evidence was found that indicate that the RCO can be at the same time a democratic or controlling management tool depending on the purpose and intention of those who use it.

La investigación tuvo como objetivo indagar sobre la apropiación y uso del Registro de Clase en Línea (RCO), una herramienta de registro escolar informatizado con el fin de identificar y analizar la relación que se establece entre las asignaturas de la escuela y la tecnología digital en cuestión. Los autores que apoyaron la investigación fueron Vieira Pinto (2005); Feenberg (2013); Paro (2016); Freiré (2000); Brandão; dagnino; Novaes, (2004); Ferreira (2001). Al analizar los discursos de los sujetos, de los datos de la investigación surgieron 5 categorías: Concepción de la tecnología; Preparación para la apropiación y uso del Registro de Clase en Línea; Aparatos tecnológicos; Funcionalidades de la herramienta digital (RCO); Democracia o control del trabajo docente. En la investigación se encontraron evidencias que indican que la RCO puede ser a la vez una herramienta de gestión democrática o controladora dependiendo del propósito e intención de quienes la utilizan.Este artigo é resultado de uma dissertação de mestrado profissional em Educação e Novas Tecnologias. Nele é apresentada a análise de dados de entrevistas semiestruturadas, realizadas com diretores, pedagogos e professores atuantes na rede estadual de educação no município de Curitiba. O objetivo da pesquisa foi o de investigar a apropriação e uso do Registro de Classe Online (RCO), ferramenta informatizada de registro escolar a fim de identificar e analisar a relação estabelecida entre os sujeitos da escola e a tecnologia digital em questão.
