DOI: 10.12957/dep.2016.21811Resumo O objetivo do presente artigo é reconstruir a trajetória das mobilizações dos camponeses e indígenas mexicanos pelo direito à terra. Busca, todavia, não apenas identificar as articulações e conflitos entre o Estado mexicano e os diferentes movimentos populares na Revolução dos anos 1910 e no neozapatismo, mas também situar tal trajetória como motriz de uma luta por direitos sociais globais. Se, de um lado, isso implica reinterpretar as ações dos camponeses e indígenas mexicanos pelo direito à terra como meios de resistência aos processos de mercantilização do espaço, desencadeados pela expansão permanente do capitalismo mundial, de outro, implica desinvisibilizar seu protagonismo na história político-jurídica global, que fora ocultado pelo eurocentrismo. Nesse sentido, o artigo parte das conquistas sociais, expressas na Constituição de 1917, para salientar o papel fundamental do Zapatismo na resistência global ao modelo neoliberal de privatização da terra e de destruição de tais conquistas. Palavras-Chave: Zapatismo; Direito à Terra; Luta por Direitos Sociais Globais Abstract This paper aims to reconstruct the trajectory of Mexican peasants and indigenous peoples’ mobilizations for land rights. However, it seeks not only to rebuild the articulations and conflicts between the Mexican State and the different popular movements in the Revolution of the 1910s and in neozapatismo, but also to place this trajectory as a central drive in a struggle for global social rights. If, on one hand, this implies reinterpretating Mexican peasants and indigenous peoples’ actions for land rights as means of resistance to the commercialization processes of space, which is caused by the permanent expansion of global capitalism, on the other, it implies taking out of invisibility their leading role in global political and legal history, which has been hidden by eurocentrism. In this sense, the article is based on the social achievements, expressed in the 1917 Constitution, to highlight the fundamental roll of Zapatismo in the global resistance to the neoliberal model of land privatization and destruction of such achievements.
