This dissertation will take as its main theme the identity category of the bixa preta. Starting from this main theme, taking into account the recent production and expansion of the discussion in the political, academic and arts fields, a survey of bibliographic materials will be carried out taking into account those found around the theme, as well as the breadth of the spaces in question that the discussion of this topic has been developed recently. With the intention of explaining through practice how the identity category of the black bixa articulates and is strengthened through the collective force in the intention of producing organizations and ruptures, the collective “Bixa preta, e daí?!” will also be presented in this work. This work mainly presents itself as the record of a collective that, although crossed by several stigmatizing and discriminated social markers of differentiation, creates ways to continue producing and (re)existing.
