Resumo: MYRTHES DE CAMPOS (1875-1965): the “woman lawyer” in the fight for women's rights    Abstract In this article we reflect on the journey of Myrthes Gomes de Campos, recognized by historiography as the first "woman lawyer" who acted professionally in the courts of Rio de Janeiro (1899). We highlight her political actions regarding the defense of women's rights to secondary and higher education, to the exercise of liberal professions as well as her presence in the women's suffrage campaign. Legal equality in marriage and divorce law were also central debates on her agenda, published in articles and conferences, between the end of the 1890s and the mid-1930s. The historical understanding of feminist movements in that context makes it possible to recognize the struggles and resistances of present pasts, of continuities, ruptures and setbacks in gender policy and in women's rights in Brazilian society. Keywords: women's history; civil, social and political rights; gender equality; Myrthes de Campos.Este artículo se propone reflexionar sobre la trayectoria de Myrthes Gomes de Campos, reconocida por la historiografía como la primera “mujer abogado” que actuó profesionalmente en los tribunales de Río de Janeiro (1899). Hemos escogido para nuestro trabajo analizar sus acciones políticas con respecto a la defensa de los derechos de las mujeres a la educación secundaria y superior. Además, nos detendremos en su defensa al derecho femenino de ejercer las profesiones liberales, así como su presencia en la campaña sufragista. Forman parte de sus debates también la igualdad jurídica del matrimonio y el derecho al divorcio; los que se hicieron públicos en artículos y conferencias entre el final de la década de 1890 y mediados de los años 1930. La comprensión histórica de los movimientos feministas en aquel contexto hace posible que se reconozcan las luchas y resistencias de pasados presentes, de permanencias, rupturas y retrocesos en la política de género y en la garantía de los derechos de las mujeres en la sociedad brasileña. Palabras-clave: historia de las mujeres; derechos civiles, sociales y políticos; igualdad de género; Myrthes de Campos.  No artigo, refletimos sobre a trajetória de Myrthes de Campos, consagrada pela historiografia como a primeira “mulher advogado” a atuar profissionalmente nos tribunais no Rio de Janeiro (1899). Privilegiamos a sua ação política na defesa dos direitos das mulheres à educação secundária e superior, ao exercício das profissões liberais e sua presença na campanha sufragista. A igualdade jurídica no casamento e a garantia do divórcio também constituíram debates centrais de sua pauta, divulgada em artigos e conferências, entre o final da década de 1890 e meados dos anos 1930. A compreensão histórica dos feminismos, em disputa naquele contexto, possibilita o (re)conhecimento de lutas e resistências de passados presentes, de permanências, rupturas e retrocessos nas políticas de gênero e na garantia de direitos das mulheres na sociedade brasileira.
