Summary: The article discusses the hate as a social practice of anti-cohesion in the context of a "conservative global neoliberal tsunami" (SÜSSEKIND, 2018). We argue that the tsunami feeds on hate and abomination, the desire to annihilate the other and the erasing of difference (SUSSEKIND, 2017; 2018a; OLIVEIRA, SÜSSEKIND, 2018), partnering with institutionalized results (Base Nacional Comum Curricular, Escola sem partido) and nurtures individual and social attitudes and feelings of banalization of evil (ARENDT, 1999) in the weaving of everyday life. Discussing Arendt's theories about the relationship between citizenship and hate, and arguing that the struggle for democracy requires empathic recognition of the difference that lies in the other, we discuss episodes of the Black Mirror series weaved in our everyday life researches within schools and universities where we live and create knowledges in search of clues (GINZBURG, 1989) to understand the image in which we are mirroring ourselves as a society (SÜSSEKIND, PRESTES, 2017), drawn and split by abyssal lines (SANTOS, 2007). As a black mirror.
