The objective of this work is to analyze two master's dissertations and an article on Afro religion in Alagoas. Investigate the historical processes that took place in the 21st century, their changes and permanence in the Alagoas territory, taking into account the process of colonization and firmament of Afro religion as a space of religious, cultural awareness and resistance to the oppressive governmental and social movements that delegitimized its veracity by Christian and civilizing discourse in an attempt to deny the originality of a people and their freedom of expression as active builders in the defense of their rights, in search of their space in the social environment. Resisting the prejudiced obstacles of the white elite that judged them by their skin color, by the braiding of their hair and the search for the supreme, overcoming time and the hate speech and abomination of what was preached by the evangelists who punished them strictly to keep them firm in faith.
